Sister Zelmarie Johnson was called to her Lord God on Friday, September 3, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 17, 1942, in Garvin, OK.
She united with Olive Branch Baptist Church of Idabel where she was president of the Mission and worked in other auxiliaries, then for 22 years Zelmarie was a member of the Second Missionary Baptist Church in Grandview MO., Later, she united with Community Faith Fellowship under the pastorate of Rev. Kevin Haywood. Zelmarie loved her church and was faithful until her illness prevented her from attending.
She Was preceded in death by her parents, John Lewis, and Edna Mendowhall, one brother Clarence Lewis Sr.
Zelmarie leaves to cherish her memory of one daughter Debra Jackson. Kansas City, MO., and one son Terry Lewis (Gail) adopted son Albert Holloway (Kathy) Hugo, siblings; Octavia "Lumpy" Lewis, Idabel, Wayne Lewis, Okmulgee, Okla., and Kevin Lewis, Idabel; and a host of grand and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Graveside Service is set for 10 am Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Williamston Cemetery
with Rev. Kevin Haywood officiating.
Family visitation is on Friday, September 10, 2021, at 7 PM
