Wylie B. Davis, 75 of Idabel Oklahoma left us on Friday November 6, 2020 at Paris Regional Hospital in Paris, Texas
Wylie was born the 13th day of October 1945 to the Late Ruthie Mae & Houston B. Davis
He graduated from Hawkins Southside School and was drafted in the United States Army at the age of 19.
Wylie had a very special gift, the love for music and singing for the Lord, he was one of the best baritone vocalist in East Texas. He joined his first group, The Spiritual Six Gospel Group of Big Sandy.
In the early part of the 70's Wylie settled in Tyler worked at G.E. and Sears Roebuck as a tire technician and sung with The Gospel All-Stars & Songs of Joy both of Tyler
Wylie later moved to Idabel, Oklahoma and sung with various groups: The Heavenly Five of Idabel Oklahoma, Non-Denomination Choir of Idabel, Supreme Voices of Clarksville, Texas and The Soul Stirrers of Ashdown, Arkansas
Wylie was later called to minister .At time of death He Pastored at Mt. Phebe and worked at Nunley Funeral Home
He preceded in death by his Mom Ruthie Mae Davis, Father Houston B. Davis, wife Rosie Davis
Sisters- Lena Mae Davis, Alice Russell, Helen Thorpe, & Evelyn Moore
Brothers- Leroy Davis, Willie C. Davis & Joseph Davis
