On Wednesday, September 21, 2016, Willie Lee "Will" Johnson saddled up his favorite horse, set astride, and rode off to GOD's celestial home. He fought the good fight; he won the battle and now is free from the troubles of this old world.
Born on New Year's Day in 1944; he was the sixth of nine children born to Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Johnson in the Maple Springs community of Idabel, Oklahoma.
Will joined Maple Springs Baptist Church at an early age. He attended school at Maple Springs, Richland, and Booker T. Washington schools. He loved horses and country living. Will was a hard-working man who understood and valued the simple things in life. Many days, he could be found driving a tractor on the ranch or bush hogging a pasture. He enjoyed riding in and watching rodeos.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben and Theria Johnson and brother, Ruby Lee Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
