William Cursh, was born June 8th, 1952 in Foreman, Arkansas to Danny and Alberta Cursh. William was the third of seven children. He passed away February 11th, 2015 at his home in Idabel, Oklahoma.
He accepted Christ at an early age, and William attended school in Foreman, Arkansas. He was an equipment operator on the Matterson Farm, and he was also employed at the Dierks Lumber Mill.
William met his wife, Wanda Fields, and they were united in marriage on February 26, 1972. To this union three children were born; two sons and a daughter.
William was a people person. He would help anyone that needed it; he was always courteous and respectful to all he came in contact with.
He is preceded in death by: his grandfather, Authur Cursh; his father, Danny Cursh; son, William Cursh, Jr.; daughter, Vicki Wharry; two brothers, Danny Cursh, Jr. and Billy Ray Cursh; and one sister, Erma Jean Smith.
Those he leaves to cherish his memories include: his wife of 43 years, Wanda Cursh of the home; mother, Alberta Cursh of Ashdown, Arkansas; two sons, Marcus D. Cursh and wife Shamika of Spencer, Oklahoma and Reggie Parker and wife Pamela of Dallas, Texas; a child he raised as his own, Corina Fields of Nashville, Tennessee; sisters, Doris Shoals and husband Authur, Juanita Shoals of Foreman, Arkansas, Asla M. Hooks and husband Danny of Ashdown, Arkansas; a very special aunt, Mattie Hooks of Texarkana, Arkansas; grandmother, Leola Cursh of Foreman; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements are set for 11 am Saturday February 21, 2015 at Community Missionary Baptist Church at Tom, OK with Rev. Raymond Latson officiating, and Robert Easter Eulogist.
Interment will follow at the Alford French Cemetery Foreman, Arkansas.
