Warren Hardie Jackson, age 92, of Idabel, Oklahoma, passed away on the sixth day of November, 2012. He was born October 30, 1920 to Frank and Irma Jackson in Idabel.
Hardie attended Macedonia School in Idabel until 1935.
He entered service with the United States Army on November 28, 1942 and served until December 3, 1945. During his service, he was awarded a European, African and Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Service Stars, a World War II Victory Ribbon, and an American Theater Ribbon.
Hardie was a lifetime member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Idabel.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Frank and Irma Jackson; four brothers, John Jackson, Frank Jackson, Jr., I. B. Jackson, and Roy Curtis Jackson; one sister, Annie Jackson-Gilbert.
He leaves to cherish his memory: companion Lillie Vaughn of Idabel, Oklahoma; two sisters, Augusta Butler of San Lorenzo, California and Verlee Doran of Sacramento, California; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Grave side funeral service is set for 2:30 PM Friday November 9th, 2012 at Williamston Cemetery, Idabel, Oklahoma, with Pastor Jimmie Williams officiating.
