Mrs. Vivieanna Compton - Nelson was born May 14, 1923 the daughter of Earnest Paxton and Fannie Roberts Paxton in Foreman, Arkansas. She passed away November 13, 2011 at the Bailey Creek Rehab Center in Texarkana, Arkansas at the age of 88.
Mrs. Nelson grew up in the Foreman area where she attended school. She joined Friendship Baptist Church at an early age. Vivieanna, later moved her membership to Freedom Temple Church of God in Christ in 1996 and was a faithful member until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands Julius Compton Sr., and James Nelson, two sons, Julius Compton Jr. and Michael Compton, and one daughter Bobbie Jean Compton.
Mrs. Nelson is survived by three sons; Joe Ollie Compton and wife Julie of Texarkana, Texas, Edward Lee and Carl Compton of Foreman, Arkansas, six daughters; Louise Burris of Tom, Ok., Sherry Compton of Midwest City, OK., Verda Mae Jackson Foreman, Arkansas, Diana Hunt and husband David of Texarkana, Texas, Bobbie Compton of Daphne, Alabama, Earnestine Bee and husband Carl of Idabel, OK., one step-son and daughter James Nelson Jr. and wife Ceola, and Margret Macon and husband Roy of Foreman, Arkansas, One sister; Jossie Daniels Oklahoma City, OK, two Sisters in-laws Alberta Cursh Foreman, Arkansas, and Mattie Hooks New Boston, Texas; and a host of Great Grand Children, Grand Children, Nephews, Nieces, relatives, and friends.
Funeral services are set for 2:30 PM Saturday November 19, 2011 at Freedom Temple Church of God in Christ Foreman, Arkansas with Elder Andrew Smith officiating.
Interment will follow at the Alford French Cemetery
