Vickie Lynn Cursh Wharry was born November 16, 1971 in Tom, Oklahoma. She passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014.
She was the first of three children born to William and Wanda Cursh. Vickie was a true example of love and a people person. She was associated with several churches throughout her lifetime. Vickie attended Foreman schools and graduated from Foreman High School in 1990.
Vickie moved to Idabel, Oklahoma where she married Kevin Wharry. She resided in Idabel until her death. She worked at Pilgrim's Pride for many years and then for Tyson Foods in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Vickie took great pride in being a mother figure for many children over the years. She also loved caring for her mother and father.
Those who preceded Vickie in death include: her brother, William Cursh, Jr.; grandfathers, Danny Cursh and Isaac Fields; great grandfather, Authur Cursh; and grandmother, Minnie Fields.
Vickie leaves to cherish her memories: her parents William and Wanda Cursh; her children Janie Burris, Amaurian Burris, and Asckret Burris; brothers, Marcus Cursh, and wife Shanika of Spencer, Oklahoma and Reggie Parker and wife Pamela of Dallas, Texas; grandmother, Alberta Cursh; and great grandmother, Leola Cursh of Foreman, Arkansas; three nephews, Tyree Cursh of Texarkana, Texas, Marcus Barnes of Oklahoma City, and Demarcus Cursh of Spencer, Oklahoma; aunts, Doris G. and Authur Shoals, and Juanita Shoals of Foreman, Arkansas and Asla M. Hooks and husband Danny of Ashdown, Arkansas; Mary V. Fields, Leatha M. Fields, Ola F. Turner and husband Joe of Tom, Oklahoma; great aunt, Mattie Hooks of Texarkana, Arkansas; great aunt, Margaret Fields of Kansas City, Missouri; uncles, Ray Charles of Oklahoma City; special cousins, Shanna Fields of Dallas, Texas and Kim King of Tom, Oklahoma; special friends, Jackie Lewis of Idabel, Oklahoma, Melissa Williams of Idabel, Oklahoma, Lisa Threadgill of Tom, Oklahoma, Shefanie Ezell of Oklahoma City, Niki Brown, Shondra Baker and Gertrude Moss all of Idabel, Oklahoma; Vickie was a mother to. She also leaves a host of cousins, other family members and friends.
Funeral services are set for 1:00 pm Saturday November 15, 2014 at Community Missionary Baptist Church of Tom, Ok with Pastor Roy Barlow officiating.
Interment will follow at the Alford French Cemetery Foreman, Arkansas
