Vernell Jr Ramsey

Vernell Ramsey Jr. was born December 24, 1965, to Vernell Ramsey, Sr., and Jessie Mae Ramsey in DeQueen, Arkansas. He passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at McCurtain Memorial Hospital.

He grew up in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1984, where he was nicknamed "Raging Bull". After finishing High School he went on to play at East Central University in Ada, OK, the University of Houston, and also played with the Oklahoma Twisters.

Vernell will be remembered for many things, but most who knew him will remember him as a man who loved his family and friends. He always tried his best to take care of everyone he could. He will be greatly missed.

Vernell Jr. is preceded in death by his father, Vernell Ramsey, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Jessie Mae Ramsey, three sisters, Gwendolyn Ramsey, Rhonda Ramsey Cheatham (Marvin), and Megan Smith, one brother, Lorenzo Johnson, Aunts Ossie Wilson and Lou Eddie Burris. Nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. RaShounda Ramsey and Finance Eric Holmes, Cleveland Ramsey and finance Brittany Meddock, JaVonna Sims, RaSharie Ramsey, Taneshia Ramsey, and Ural Ramsey.
