Thomas Gulley

Dr. Rev. Thomas Earl Gulley was born on May 29th, 1950, in Ashdown, Arkansas, to the late Rev. Zollie Burl and Chris­tine (Erby) Gulley.

Thomas graduated from Idabel Gray High School on May 07, 1968. He attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Thomas graduated in 1971 with a B.S. degree in Education. Soon after receiving his master's in sociology at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He married Annie Sue Butler. To this union, two sons were born. Thomas Dayan Gulley and Adrian Gulley. Thomas was employed by Dept. of Human Services in Hugo, Oklahoma for 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Z.B. Gulley, and Christine (Erby) Gulley; a brother, Willie Burl Gulley; two nephews, Charles Gulley, Jr. and J. R. Jackson, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Thomas Dayan Gulley, Hugo, Oklahoma, and Adrian Gulley, Dallas, Texas, and his wife Annie Sue Gulley of the home. Brothers, Nathaniel (Martha) Gulley; Charles Gulley, Oklahoma City, Dr. Rev. Allen Gulley, Idabel, Oklahoma, Rev. Andrae (Janee) Gulley, Junction City, Kansas, Rev. Kevin (Natosha) of Ideal, Georgia, Rev. Lynne (Toni) Noble Lakewood, California; sisters, Minister Brenda Gulley, Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Peggy (Jerry) Jackson, Del City, Oklahoma, Merial (Adam) Balogh, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dr's Michelle (Tony) Watson, Round Rock, Texas; mother, Arnetta Gulley Burris, Broken Bow, Oklahoma, special friends, Jerry and Clara Mayes; Dr. Burnis (Johnnie) Burrell, Jr.; god brother, Richard Hankins, Sr., one grandson, Adriel James Tucker, one great-grandson, Adriel James Tucker II, and a host of nephews, nieces, family, and friends.

Dr. Gulley's Funeral is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, November 4th, 2023, at the Bypass Church of Christ with Rev. Jamie Erby officiating.

Interment will follow at Rhodes Cemetery in Ashdown, Arkansas.

A visitation is set for 6:00 - 7:30 P.M. November 3rd, 2023 at the funeral Home.
