Terry T Myrks

November 20, 1970 — December 5, 2013

Mr. Terry T. Myrks was born November 20, 1970 in Oklahoma City to Vivian Ann Myrks and Terry Sheets. He was the first child of three. Terry accepted Christ at an early age.

Terry attended school in Oklahoma City and later graduated from Idabel High School. He was multi-talented and a lover of sports. Terry was a basketball star in high school. He loved to bar-be-que for his family and friends. Most of all, he loved his children and often talked about how proud he was to see his sons prosper in their careers and how much joy was brought into his life when his daughter was born. Terry loved "old school" music; "Stariway to Heaven" was his favorite song, performed by his favorite group, the O'Jays.

Terry was united in marriage to Raquel Butler in 2001 and to this union, two beloved children were born.

He is preceded in death by: his mother, Vivian "Ann" Myrks; maternal grandmother, Cora Chatman-Myrks; great grandmother, Ressie Roberta Harris-Chatman; two uncles, Victor Ray Myrks and Travis Myrks, Jr; an aunt, Gwendolyn Joyce Myrks; and two cousins, Eric Myrks and Kamron Adams.

Myrks and Tyra of New Boston, Texas; sister, Brandy Myrks of Idabel; three grandchildren, Jaydon Threatt, Monica Butler and Andrea Butler; along with a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The sand of time is running low and soon, my children I must go.
My heart with love for you is filled but soon its beating must be still,
I leave no treasures of any kind only my love I leave behind.
Take it and share it with sister and brothers, you must always be kind to one another.
Weep not beside my grave for me; don't bring me flowers I cannot see.
Only ashes lie neath the cold sod, just pray that my soul has gone with God!

Funeral Services are set for 2 pm Saturday at Plainview Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor John H Scott officiating and Eve Norcetta Blandon Eulogist.

A private Inurnment will take place at a later date.
