Shaquanta LaDawn Johnson entered her heavenly home on October 15, 2011 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel, Oklahoma at the age of 24. She was born April 13, 1987 to Albert and Brenda Johnson in Idabel.
Shaquanta joined First Baptist Church, Westside in Idabel at an early age, where she participated in the church youth choir and various other church activities. She attended Idabel Public Schools where she was a member of the Warrior Pride Marching Band. She was a Wal-Mart sales associate for the past six years. She loved her job and co-workers. She never met a stranger and was loved by all who made her acquaintance. She loved spending time with her friends and family. She loved to travel and texting. The thing she enjoyed most was raising her three year old son, Corjae.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, five uncles, one aunt, and five cousins.
Shaquanta leaves to cherish her memory: her son Corjae Warhop; mother, Brenda Johnson of Idabel; father, Albert Johnson and wife Rosie of Idabel; sisters Sheleatha Johnson, Shytoria Johnson and Da'Shon, Romika Beard, and Ciaria Beard all of Idabel; niece, Davasia Young and nephews, Kavari Burris and Jakovi Jackson all of Idabel; uncles Larry Lewis, Jr. and wife Brenda of San Diego, California, Clydell Allen, Marvin Allen and wife Nicole, Kevin Samuels and wife Ladena, all of Oklahoma City, Darrell Samuels and wife Shanell of Tulsa, and Robert E. Johnson and wife Lula of Idabel; aunts, Narvis Allen and Dollie Johnson of Idabel, and Estoria Bizzell and Melissa Samuels of Oklahoma City; a special friend, Carlekus Warhop, along with a host of many cousins and friends.
Shaquanta always had a smile on her face and brought laughter to many. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services are set for 11 AM Saturday October 22, 2011 at the Idabel High School Auditorium.
Interment will follow at Williamston Cemetery, Idabel.
