Ruthel Mcdonald-Hankins

Ruthel McDonald-Hankins was born June 20, 1932 to the late Mitchell (Shorty) McDonald and Melvina Briley-McDonald. She went home to our heavenly FATHER on April 6, 2017 at Hill's Nursing Home in Idabel, Oklahoma.

She was baptized at an early age and was a member of the Clear Creek Missionary Baptist Church where she served in many capacities until her health began to fail. Ruthel loved taking people in and caring for others; she was a very caring mother.

Preceding her in death were her parents, son, Timmie Lewis; and nephew, Tommy McDonald.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Sister - Joanna McElroy, Coolidge, Arizona. Sons – Anthony McDonald, Nathan McDonald (Sherry), Richard Hankins, Sr., Shawn Hankins (Kristi), and Michael Hankins (Emily). Daughters – Ellen Pickings (Lee), Cynthia Hankins, Teresa Hankins, and Kathleen Lewis. Also, nephews and nieces that she raised as her own, Roger, Harold, James, Debra, Wanda, and Jeannetta; and Godson, Rev. A.W. Gulley.
