Rosie Lee Tucker-Hill

March 18, 1933 — November 19, 2016

Rosie Lee Tucker was born on March 18, 1933 to L.T. Tucker and Janie Moon in Foreman, AR. Rosie departed this life on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.

Rosie moved with her mother in 1951 to Idabel, OK where she united with St. James C.M.E. Church where she was very active. She served as Sunday School Superintendent, President of Stewardess Board, Missionary, and choir treasurer. Her favorite song to sing was "The Blood will never lose its Power." She remained an active member until her health began to decline.

She attended elementary school at Riverside in Harris, OK and graduated in 1954 from Booker T. Washington High School in Idabel.

In 1956, she met and married Hudson Willie Hill, Sr. who preceded her in death. To their union four children were born. She was employed at McCurtain Memorial Hospital for over 30 years; retiring in 1994.

She was preceded in death by her father, her mother, sister, Leotra Polk; son, LeeVon Tucker; and daughter Carolyn E. Hill Richard.

Rosie's memory will continue to be cherished by:

Four sons – Hudson Willie Hill, Jr., Idabel; Rickey L. Hill, Burns Flat, OK; Anthony C. Hill, Guthrie, OK; and  Cordell (Lorene) Lewis, Oklahoma City, OK. Also daughter, Carla Hill, Oklahoma City, OK.

She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, six great great-grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
