Rosie Lee (Stafford) Davis was born April 9th, 1949 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Stafford in Eagletown, Oklahoma. She passed away on Monday, February 17th, 2020 at Medical City Plano Hospital in Plano, Texas, surrounded by love from her family.
Rosie was born in Eagletown, Oklahoma the 5th child born to Henry "Hinto" and Leeoma. She was baptized into the Faith at an early age by Rev. Mencham at St. Paul Presbyterian Church. Known to be a great cook, she was always dressed to the nines in her role as "First Lady" beside her husband, Rev. Davis.
Rev. Wylie Davis, whom she affectionally called "Wolly", was the love of her life and became a loving, supportive father to her three sons, Charles, Calvin, and Stacey, when they wed in 1984.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Henry and Leeoma Stafford; one son, Calvin Wayne Stafford; and one sister, Joyce Marie Polk.
Those Rosie leaves to cherish her memories include: her husband, Rev. Wylie Davis of the home; two sons, Charles Stafford of De Queen, Arkansas, and Stacey Stafford of Idabel, Ok; five sisters, Ola Faye Stafford of Troy, Ohio, Merkie M. Woods and husband Dr. O. D. of De Queen, Deretha Grusendorf of Eagletown, Iola Coulter of De Queen, and Alma Jewel Stafford of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; four brothers, Rev. Clarence Stafford and wife Deloris of Troy, Ohio, Deacon Jesse Lee Stafford and wife Chris Joseph of Huber Heights, Ohio, Rev. Winfred Stafford and wife Kathy of Dayton, Ohio, and Coatis Stafford of Troy, Ohio; her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
Funerals arrangements are set for 10 AM Saturday, February 22, 2020 at St. Paul Presbyterian Church 2016 Main ST, Eagletown, OK, with Rev. Clarence Stafford officiating.
Interment will follow at the nearby Busy Bee Cemetery, Eagletown, Ok.
