Restee Tyrone Howell-Hooks was born July 11, 1977 to Ms. Willie Mae Howell and Restee Hooks, Jr., in Idabel, Oklahoma. He passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Restee grew up in Idabel and attended public school from kindergarten through high school and graduated from Idabel High School. He was extremely athletic and played the position of lineman for the high school football team. Upon completion of high school, he attended Northeastern Oklahoma University in Miami, Oklahoma.
Restee moved home and was employed with Tyson Foods. He then relocated to Yukon, Oklahoma and was employed with the City of Yukon.
Restee attended church at Jones Temple Church of God in Christ and was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan!
Restee was preceded in death by: his mother, Ms. Willie Mae Howell; grandmother, Ms. Novie Howell; grandfathers, Mr. Matthew Howell and Mr. Restee Hooks, Sr.; and several aunts and uncles.
Restee leaves to cherish his memory: a fiancé, Samantha Sharp; his father, Restee Hooks, Jr.; his uncle and aunt, Murphy Howell and Betty Hooks-Howell, all of Idabel; one grandmother Olla Mae Hooks of Idabel; three children, Tabitha Avery and Restee Tyrone Howell-Hooks, Jr. of Idabel, and Levi Howell of Yukon, Oklahoma; two extended children, Deon and D'Ambria Lewis of the home; one brother, Karl B. Hooks and wife Diane of Idabel; six uncles, Elvie Hooks, John Hooks and wife Linda, and Curtis Hooks, all of Idabel, Dr. Edmond L. Hooks and wife Gwendolyn, Rev. Roger Hooks and wife Bertil, and Rev. Martin D. Hooks and wife Barbara of Oklahoma City; four aunts, Ms. Ora Bryant and husband Larry of Fresno, California, Ms. Willie B. Hooks of Detroit, Michigan, Ms. Loretta Sheffey-Riley of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Ms. Leola Wright of Oklahoma City; one niece, Ms. Ebony Hooks of Idabel; and three cousins that he was raised with, Meldon Howell and Melanie Howell of Idabel, and Murphy Howell, Jr. and wife Brenda of Texarkana, Arkansas; along with a host of cousins, and other relatives.
Funeral Services are set for 11:00 a.m. Saturday January 17, 2015 at the Bypass Church of Christ with Rev. Martin D. Hooks officiating.
Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Idabel, OK
