Ray Charles Vaughn

Ray Charles Vaughn was born on September 22, 1952 to Emma Lee Carr and Otis Vaughn in Idabel, OK,. Ray passed away peacefully on May 6, 2016 at the Medical Center of Plano in Plano; TX.
As a youth Ray joined Olive Branch Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Simmons, Jr.
He attended Booker T. Washington High School and graduated from Idabel Gray High School with the class of 1970.
After High School he joined the Air Force and was released with an honorable discharge. Ray than moved to St. Paul Minnesota in July of 1977 and stayed there until he moved back to Idabel to take care of elderly mother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John Edward Monroe, and one niece, Barbara Ann Monroe.
Ray leaves to cherish his memories, one sister, Mary J. Robinson (Michael Sr.), one nice, Chequita Ogoo (Brian), three nephews: Dexter Monroe, Zanaudal Carr, Michael Robinson Jr., three aunts and three uncles; two special cousins, Faye Jefferson (Bob Sr.), and a host of relatives and friends who loved him.
He will be available for viewing between 9-5 on May 13th, 2016 at the funeral home.
A Memorial service is set for 5 pm Saturday May 14, at the funeral home.
