Our "King" has gone to the throne! Raishyean Jahbloinee Braxton departed this life on Friday, October 7, 2016, at his grandmother's home in Idabel, OK. He was born on October 17, 1977 to Roger Braxton Jr. and Charlotte Braxton in Los Angeles, California. He moved to Idabel, Oklahoma at the age of 11.
Raishyean accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Kulli Lake in the Oak Grove community in Idabel. He attended Idabel Public Schools for his primary education. He graduated with the "Class of 1995" from Idabel High School. After graduation, he continued his education at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma. Raishyean loved everything life had to offer. He enjoyed cook-outs, family gatherings, traveling, playing his PS4 and watching his children grow. Raishyean had a full contagious laugh that brought cheer to everyone.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Roger Braxton Sr. ; maternal grandfather, Edward (Snootie) Lee Rodgers; great-grandfather, Roy Jordan; maternal great-grandmother, Dealy Jordan and paternal great-grandmother, Hollis Cherry.
Raishyean leaves to "forever" cherish his memory: Four beloved daughters, Jaishlynn Braxton, Conway, AR , Kaleigh Rogers and Kashlyn Braxton, both of Oklahoma City, OK; Dana Bellamy, Los Angeles, CA; one dearly loved son, Kingston Nicholas Braxton, Oklahoma City, OK; mother, Charlotte Braxton, Oklahoma City, OK; father, Roger (Alfreda) Braxton Jr., Del City, OK; step father, Darrell Moore, Tulsa, OK; grandmothers, Bernice Jordan, Idabel, OK and Pearlie Mae Braxton, Oklahoma City, OK;
Also cherishing his memory are: seven sisters, Andrea Chatman (Eric) Butler, Oklahoma City, OK; Kyendra Townsend (Jamon), Oklahoma City, OK; Jalelah Abdul-Raheem(Haneef), Moore, OK; Sai'Queenau (Quentiero) Reese,Oklahoma City, OK; Hasna Braxton, Princes'Sai Braxton (Gerald), Idabel, OK; Castle Braxton (Sigmund) of Texarkana, TX; one brother, Roger Braxton III; special friend, Rachel Stout, Idabel, OK; and special cousin, Randell Cherry, Oklahoma City, OK; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
