QT Washington was born on December 16, 1950 in Harris, Oklahoma the son of G.B. Washington and Johnnie B. (Cooper) Kennyebrew. His stepfather was Roy L. Kennyebrew.
On January 31, 2021 God called him to his heavenly home after a brief illness. QT was affiliated with the Hills Chapel CME Church in Broken Bow, OK and served faithfully as a trustee. He served in the Navy for 22 1/2 years & retired as a Chief Petty Officer. He travelled all over the world from his 1st duty station in Beeville, Texas where he met his wife Lorrine to Washington state, California to Naples, Italy, Diego Garcia on the Indian Ocean the Mediterranean & Guam. He served on the shore and at sea with various duties from a systems organizational maintenance technician to a counselor. QT retired from the Navy in 1992 in Newport News, Virginia. He also worked at Weyerhaeuser in Wright City, Oklahoma for 10 years & retired due to health issues. On June 19, 2016, he had a bi-lateral lung transplant. He was so thankful to God and showed that thankfulness every day. After his transplant, he was never admitted to the hospital until January 4, 2021 when he suddenly became ill & passed away.
He loved working on vehicles, spending time with his wife, children, facetiming with his grandchildren, talking to family & just enjoying life. Anyone who truly knew QT knows that he was one of a kind and he was the kindest, gentlest, laid back man you'd ever want to meet. He always had an encouraging word for whomever he spoke with; he was full of laughter and generosity.
