Patricia Rutherford

Patricia Rutherford Thompson passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel, Oklahoma.
She was born March 24, 1949 in DeQueen, Arkansas to Ealee Mae Heath and Elen H. Rutherford.

She attended Booker T. Washington School in Idabel. In order to help provide for her brothers and sisters, she decided to drop out of school and assist with their care. Later, she returned to school and earned her diploma. She decided to continue her education and enrolled at E.T. Dunlap Center in Idabel, Oklahoma.

Her desire to care for and provide for her family was her priority. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Idabel; which is pastored by son, Larry.

Patricia was preceded in death by parents, Ealee Mae Heath and Elen Rutherford; brother, Robert E. Rutherford; sisters, Janice Rutherford, Rita Young, Betty King, and Mildred Jordan.

She leaves to cherish her memory: Stepfather, Frank Heath. Brothers, Paul E. Rutherford, Alvin J. Rutherford, Willis (Andrea) Rutherford. Sisters, Beverly Rutherford and Sharon Rutherford. Sons, Jerome (Neko) Rutherford, Charles (Tiffany) Rutherford, Randy Rutherford, Shawn Rutherford, Chad (Altis) Rutherford, and Larry (LaShetta) Rutherford.

Also, remembering her fondly are: Grandchildren, Devin Rutherford, Koranda Rutherford, Jasmine McKnight, Karisma Edd, LaShawn Williams, Tevin Rutherford, Ramon Rutherford, Allyiah Rutherford, Jemara Edd, Jerome Rutherford, Jr., Elijah Rutherford, Latricia Rutherford, Jakiyre Linzsey, Dakiyre Linzsey, Terrian Jordan, Anoori Jones, Shawn Rutherford, Jr., Lamar Rutherford, Eleyah Rutherford, Lexi Rutherford, J'Mauri Bailey, Adriana Moore, and Arnold Rutherford.

She is also survived by a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. Patricia was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, 5-7 PM at Nunley Funeral Home in Idabel, Oklahoma. The funeral service will be held at Noon on Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church, Idabel. Pastor Larry Rutherford will officiate.

Interment will follow at Lukfata Cemetery in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
