Patricia Cherry Hill

Patricia Cherry Hill, born on November 22, 1960, in Valliant, Oklahoma, passed away on April 20, 2026, at Ochsner LSU Health. Patricia was the seventh of twelve children and a cherished pillar within her family, often regarded as the glue that held her loved ones together. A woman of deep faith, she accepted Christ at a young age and lived her life guided by her spiritual convictions.

Patricia was known for her warm spirit and inviting nature. She took great joy in cooking, shopping, and above all, spending quality time with her family. Her dedication to those she loved was evident in the lasting impact she made.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Charles Hill, and her daughter Whitney Hill (Byrd0. Patricia’s legacy continues through her grandchildren, Adrya Jones, Jordan Jones, Treasure Hill, and Knloe Cherry, all of Idabel, Oklahoma, as well as Aijon Jones of Oklahoma City. She also leaves behind one great-grandson, Charicko Hill, of Idabel, Oklahoma.

Patricia’s surviving siblings include Tommy Cherry (Charlesetta), Phillip Cherry, Michael Cherry, and Jimmy Cherry, all of Valliant, Oklahoma; Troy Cherry (Jen) of Oklahoma City; Quillard Cherry Jr. of Wichita, Kansas; Arita Cherry of Oklahoma City; and Surretha Garcia of Wichita, Kansas. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews who hold her memory close in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Quillard and Thelma Cherry, and by three children: LaQuita Cherry, Tracus Cherry, and Charicko Hill. Additionally, she mourns the loss of her siblings Gerald Lewis, Bertha Coleman, and Brenda Gonzales.

A funeral service to honor Patricia’s life will be held on May 2, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Bypass Church of Christ, located at 120 W Lincoln Rd., Idabel, Oklahoma. Family, friends, and all those touched by Patricia’s life are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable woman whose love and faith will continue to inspire.

Interment will follow at Elliott Cemetery, Valliant, OK
