Norma Jean Stewart, age 67, of Idabel passed away on June 23, 2016 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital. She was born March 1, 1949, in DeRidder, LA to Albert McGlothen and Martha Burby.
She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on February 19, 1972. Norma zealously served Jehovah in her younger days, and carried a desire in her heart to be at God's House though her health was failing. She was extremely creative and enjoyed sewing. Norma found delight in shopping at Walmart, gardening, and caring for her roses. But most of all, she lived for her God, loved her daughters and cherished her granddaughter. She was kind, generous, self-sacrificing, and set an example of loyalty to Jehovah.
Norma was preceded in death by her two oldest daughters (Sonja Michelle and Savanah Raquel Stewart), her Brothers, Terrance Burkley (Terry) and Walter Burby, Jr. (Junior).
Norma is survived by her children, Nadia and Andrea Stewart; her granddaughter, Alaysia Bailey all of Idabel; the father of her children Arthur (Loretta) Stewart of Idabel; her brothers: Walter (Brenda) McGlothen aka Mickey of Deridder, LA, Robert (Sheila) Burby aka Bobby of Houston, TX., her step-sister Mary Burby, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services are set for 10 A.M. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 220 Lincoln Road in Idabel with Brother Steve Chapman officiating.
Interment will follow at Williamston Cemetery.
