On December 25, 2016 our mother and sister Narvis Jewel Allen was called home to be with her LORD. She was born on June 30, 1949 to the union of Lloyd and Helen Allen in Idabel, OK.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Helen Allen; brothers James and Lloyd Allen, Jr. and one sister, Rosie Allen. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Idabel in 1967. Upon graduation, she enrolled in the Job Corps in Guthrie, OK where she earned a cosmetology license.
Narvis was a hard and dedicated worker up until her last breath. She had a special working relationship with Dr. Bill and Kim Herron for 30+ years.
Narvis loved her church and church family at First Baptist Westside, where she was a lifelong member. She was a proud usher at the church for almost 25 years and took her duties very seriously. She was also a member of the Southeastern Usher Board. She was an avid watcher of the Food Network. There was nothing and no one more important to her than the love of the LORD and her grandchildren.
Narvis leaves to cherish her memories: Children - Demetricia Allen, Yvonne Allen, Ladale Allen, and LaMichael Allen. Five grandchildren – LaDadria Allen, GleOndric Dale Threatt, Sierrah Hooks, A'Nyia Allen and Navaria Allen.
She also leaves her siblings, Larry Allen, CA; Clyde Allen, OKC,OK; and Darrell Samuels, Tulsa, OK, Marvin Allen, OKC, OK, and Kevin Samuel, OKC, OK; Estoria Bizzell, Edmond, OK; Brenda Johnson, Idabel, OK, and Melissa Samuel, Edmond, OK and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
