Misty Stansbury

Misty Stansbury was born on June 24, 1976, and her life was a testament to love and generosity. She met and married her beloved husband, James Stansbury, and together they welcomed five children into their family, while also embracing countless others through adoption. For over a decade, she dedicated herself to being a foster parent, opening her heart and home to around 150 children during that time.

Her joy radiated in the simple moments spent playing with her grandchildren and losing herself in the pages of a good book. Coral was her favorite color, and there was something incredibly special about the way her face would light up at the sight of fresh flowers.

Though her journey was marked by the profound loss of two sons and her grandparents, Misty remained a beacon of selflessness, always willing to give the shirt off her back without expecting anything in return. She was truly a once-in-a-lifetime soul, and her absence would be deeply felt by her husband, children, and grandchildren. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Misty Graveside Services will be held Tuesday April 08, 2025, at 1:00pm at Albion Cemetery in Red River County.
