Mickeal Eugene Lesley, known to his loved ones as Mickeal, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, at Broken Bow Health and Rehab. Born on December 21, 1957, in Wilson, Oklahoma, Mickeal’s journey was one marked by kindness, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to those around him.

Mickeal was grounded by strong family roots. He was the beloved son of Garlon E. Lesley and Anna M. Lesley, both of whom preceded him in death. The cherished memories of his late brother, Jessie A. Tonihka, and his late sister, Judy A. Cunningham, were never far from his heart.

Mickeal is survived by a loving family who will forever carry forward his legacy. He leaves behind his brothers, Donnie Tonihka and Larry Tonihka, as well as his sisters, Joan Lesley and Peggy Carden. He is also remembered by his brother-in-law, whose steadfast support brought comfort and companionship over the years.

Throughout his life, Mickeal found pride and accomplishment in his work. Among his varied pursuits, he notably served as a plumber's helper—a role that underscored his willingness to help and his practical skills. His adventurous spirit led him to time spent as a seaman on shrimp boats working out of New Orleans and Houston ports for several years. Mickeal guided the vessel on many quiet nights, steering toward safe harbor while the captain rested—a testament to his reliability and calm under pressure. These experiences, whether on land or at sea, highlighted Mickeal’s dedication and his admirable work ethic.

Mickeal’s presence will be deeply missed, yet his memory remains bright in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His devotion to family and his gentle spirit will live on in the countless stories and fond recollections shared by all who were touched by his life.

A memorial service to honor and remember Mickeal Eugene Lesley will be held on July 11, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Denison Cemetery, located at 201 E Main, Idabel, OK 74745. Loved ones are invited to gather in remembrance of a life marked by resilience and quiet strength.
