Mary Etta Barnhill was born on January 19, 1942, in Clarksville, TX, to parents, RB. and Birter Mae Jones. She went to be with the Lord on December 3, 2024. Mary Etta graduated from Cheatham High School in Clarksville, TX. in 1960. She later married Harrison Barnhill. She worked as a Head Start Teacher, and cook and later retired from the Valliant Police Department as a dispatcher.
"Proud" Mary enjoyed catalog shopping for her Sunday Best. She was fashionable and feisty. She was known for her delicious, deviled eggs. She never met a stranger and was Always Charitable. She was everyone's Aunt Mary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, RB. and Birter Mae Jones, her twin sister, Rose (Queen) McDonald of Valliant, Essie Dyer, Annie Mae McCullough, and Ruth Lewis of Clarksville, TX, and Thelma Dinwiddie of Lancaster, TX.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Harrison Barnhill of 33 years, Her Siblings; TartinaJohnson of Clarksville, TX, Remelia Pruitt of Paris, TX and Donna Faye Bizzell of Broken Bow, OK, Her children; Henry (Betty) McDonald of Clarksville, TX, Rodney (Glinda) Watson, Corneilius (Samantha) Watson of Valliant, Gwendolyn (Russell) DeBose-Boyd of Ovilla, Tx, She was the Auntie and second Mom to Tonya (David) Gordon of Millerton, OK, Scottie McDonald of Valliant, OK, Ann Kehl, Adam Barnhill, Nathanael (Nicole) Barnhill, Bekah (Tiffany) Togisala, of Hirem Utah, and Sherry Smith of Millerton, OK. Also remembering her fondly are fifteen Grandchildren, nine Great Grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, special friends and her special cat, Midnight.
Funeral Services to be held at Olive Branch Baptist Church in Valliant, OK on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 11:00 am; Rev. Burnis Burrell, Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow at Williams Cemetery in Clarksville Texas
