Marilyn Renee Johnson-Duckett

Mrs. Marilyn Renee Johnson-Duckett was born on September 16, 1961, to Tommy and Tartina Johnson in Clarksville, Texas. Marilyn attended school in Clarksville and was a 1980 graduate of Clarksville High School.

She was a loving wife to Mr. Loran Duckett for 27 years. Marilyn was a compassionate soul who enjoyed writing, helping others and enriching people's lives.  She owned and operated a children's daycare from the early 1990's until 2006. Many of the children considered her to be their second mother.

Marilyn is proceeded in death by her father, Mr. Tommy Johnson.

Those left to cherish her memory are: Husband, Loran Duckett of Clarksville, Texas. Sons, Marcus Duckett of Fountain, Colorado;  Micah McCleod of Reno, Texas; Tyrell Duckett of Clarksville, Texas; Desmond Duckett of Greenville, Texas; and Keyland Norman of Clarksville, Texas. Mother, Tartina Johnson of Clarksville, Texas; Sister, Donder (Richard) Preston of Paris, Texas; Granddaughters, Carli Fischer of Little Rock, Arkansas and Markita Hobbs of Denison, Texas; Grandson, Jeremiah Duckett of Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Also, Godsister, Phyllis Owens and Goddaughter, Maryah Owens; seven great-grandchildren, and a host of aunts, nephews, nieces, and other relatives and friends.

Her funeral service is set for 1 PM on Friday at Hope Valley Baptist Church in Clarksville, Texas with Pastor Johnson officiating.

A private Inurnment will take place at a later date.
