Malvin James

August 7, 1928 — February 7, 2015

Malvin James, 86 of Idabel, Oklahoma (formerly of Paris, Texas) passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015. He was born August 7, 1928 in Kullituklo, Oklahoma to Samuel James and Flora Battiest-James.

He enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged after 3 years of service. Malvin was a graduate of Eastern Oklahoma Agriculture and Mechanical College. He worked for many years in the auto repair industry.

Malvin is preceded in death by: his mother and father; one brother, Bill Stanford Willie; one sister, Geraldine Battiest; and two sons, Allen James and George James.

Those he leaves to cherish his memories include: five beautiful daughters, Joyce L. James of Idabel, Oklahoma, Melvina J. Buckland of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Joni Haddix and husband Vince of Idabel, Oklahoma, Pamela Middleton and Keith, Polly Kerwin and husband George of Red Hill, Alabama, and; two loving sisters, Opal Bernice James of Denver, Colorado and Marjie Pollard and husband Dale of Mesquite, Texas; six grandchildren, Leandea Kitchens, Jason and Bill Buckland, Robbie Bohanon, Alex and Woodrow Schrand; six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

A Memorial Service is set for 10 am Thursday February 12th, at the Idabel Choctaw Nation Center with Brother Fred Logan officiating.

A private Inurnment will take place at a later date.
