Lola Mae Thompson

June 30, 1924 — November 22, 2010

Lola Mae Thompson was born in Boswell, Oklahoma to Laura and Edgar Evans on June 30, 1924. She went to sleep in death Monday November 22, 2010 at her home in Garvin, Oklahoma.

She married Henry Nelson Thompson on September 16, 1944 in Eureka, California. They chose to move from California to Swink, Oklahoma in 1960 to find a better environment in which to rear their children.

She began a concentrated study of the bible in 1971, and as a result of the things she learned and came to believe, she was dedicated and baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on October 3, 1973. She continued to study and lived by those things she believed from the Bible until her death. She derived strength from her knowledge of and her relationship with her God Jehovah. She never wavered in her faith in Him. Lola hoped to enjoy Jehovah's future blessings with all her children and loved ones.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Nelson; an infant daughter, Maline; one son, Marshall; an infant grandson, Chuck; two brothers and one sister.
