Lillie Mae Wimbley (Polly) was born in Eagletown, Oklahoma on November 7, 1936 to the union of Sam and Mary (Polk) Wimbley. She passed away in the evening on February 14, 2016 at the Broken Bow Health and Rehab Facility.
At an early age Polly Wimbley became a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church where she served faithfully until her illness. Polly loved and enjoyed gardening, going to gospel singings and spending time with her family, and friends.
Polly Wimbley is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Mary Wimbley; three brothers, Louise Cubit, Jeff Davis (JD) Wimbley, and Harvey Wimbley Sr., two sisters; Ida Mae Wimbley, and Helen Williams, and one great granddaughter, Destiny Janea Wimbley.
Polly Wimbley is survived by two sons; James Wimbley and William Wimbley of Eagletown; two daughters, Linda Wimbley and Carolyn Wimbley of Arlington, Texas, one brother; Louise Burnell Wimbley of Eagletown, one sister; Lou Ann Richardson of Fresno, California , and one daughter-in-law Marie Elder Wimbley of Eagletown ,nine grandchildren; Natalie Holt (Reno), Tina Wimbley, Coreed Wimbley, Detric Shoals, Monica Wimbley, Edward Wimbley, Kevin Wimbley, Devin Wimbley and Khalil Ibrahim; seven great-grandchildren, Vivian Noah, Khira Wimbley, Toriana Holt, Ashlyn Holt, Kristian Wimbley, Kiara Wimbley and Aaliyah Ibrahim,and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, church family, and loving friends.
Funeral Service is set for 1 PM Saturday February 20th, at the Eagletown School Gym.
Interment will follow at the Busy Bee Cemetery Eagletown, OK.
