Lewis Joshua, Jr, "L.J.", was born on September 25, 1945 to the late Lewis and Alice Joshua in Garvin, Oklahoma. He lived all his life in Haworth, Oklahoma. He moved to Sherman, Texas to live with his sister Annie. Shortly after that, God called him home on September 12, 2013.
Lewis graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 1962 and then served in the army. After returning home from the Army, he worked at Kellwood Sewing Factory and later worked for Craig Warehouse for a number of years. He began doing what he loved and became a full time mechanic at his home. If you needed your car fixed, just take it to L.J.'s shop! He worked on cars until his health failed him. He had a very kind heart and world try to help anyone he saw in need. In his last days, he proclaimed Christ and kept the same sweet spirit. He never complained about anything.
Preceding him in death are: Rose Mary & Travis Joshua, and a brother Willie McClain.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his twins, Roshun Bell of Sherman, Texas and Richell Bell of Midwest City, Oklahoma; three brothers, Charles Joshua, Sammy Joshua, and James Joshua, all of Kansas City, Kansas; five sisters, Roxie Carter, Pearlie Rose and husband Eddie, and Hazel Joshua, all of Kansas City, Kansas, Annie Ezell and husband James of Sherman, Texas, and Margaret Fifield and husband Tim of Springhill, Florida; a special nephew, David Nickerson and wife Dorinda of Kansas City, Kansas; sisters, Delois McClain of Idabel, Oklahoma, Deborah Howell and husband Danny of Oak Grove, Oklahoma; two dedicated cousins, Lonnie Taylor and Joyce Joshua; long-time friends, Patsy Neal, Jerry Davis and LaReesa Murphy; along with a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.
