Lessie Beard Hill was born on July 2, 1955 in Idabel, Oklahoma. She was the fifth of nine children to Carvin Sr. and Mary Beard. On Friday, the thirty-first of May, 2013, she boarded her last flight from Idabel to Bright Glory.
Mrs. Hill joined Maple Spring Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Logan. Lessie was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She re-dedicated her life to Christ under the leadership of Rev. Clarence Jackson at the Olive Branch Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and dedicated much of her time on "The Lord Program."
Lessie attended Richland School, Booker T. Washington School, and graduated from Gray High School in Idabel. Mrs. Hill was a hard worker, a loving sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed dearly.
Mrs. Hill is preceded in death by: her parents; grandparents; two brothers, Carvin Jr. and Tommy Sr.; two sisters, Ella Mae and Sarah; two sister-in-laws, Vernetta and Ann; one brother-in-law, James; one niece, Mary Jane; and one nephew, Tommy Jr. "TC".
Lessie leaves to cherish her memories: a devoted friend, William; two sisters, Charlesetta Beard, Rosie Beard and husband Albert all of Idabel; two brothers, Elfunzo Beard and wife Vickie, Douglas Beard and wife Debra, all of Idabel; a special friend, Shirley Calloway; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and her devoted provider, Tammy Stovall.
Funeral Services are set for 11 am Saturday June 08, 2013 at Community Faith Fellowship Idabel with Rev. Clarence Jackson Eulogist.
Interment will follow at Maple Spring Cemetery
