Latisha Donnetta Dixon-Hope

On Tuesday evening, November 6, 2018, Latisha Donnetta Dixon-Hope took her last breath at Plano Medical Center and was called home with her loved ones by her side. She was born May 21, 1988 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital to Betty Pondexter and Michael Dixon.

Latisha joined with Westside Church of Christ at a young age. She graduated from Idabel High School in 2006. She remained in Idabel after graduation and helped with her nieces, nephews, and brothers, all of whom she dearly loved.

Later, she relocated to Texas where she met her wife, Kimberly Hope. They lived in Texas for 7 years; then, moved to Idabel in 2017.

Latisha was preceded in death by her grandfather, Willie Pondexter; grandmother, Darnell Dunlap Dixon; uncles, Rickey Dixon, Floyd Dixon, Roy Pondexter, and Melvin Pondexter. Also, a host of cousins whom she dearly loved.

Remembering her with love and fondness are: Daughter, Eastlha Dixon. Parents, Betty Pondexter and Michael Dixon, Idabel. Wife, Kimberly Hope.  Grandparents, MacAuthor and Doris Dixon, Wright City; Tissie Pondexter, Idabel. Brothers, ShaMichael (Kyisha) Pondexter, Oklahoma City, and Mack Dixon, Idabel. Sister, Alicia Ricks, Idabel. Sister/Auntie, Heather Beard, Idabel. Stepchildren, Quinton Hope, Branda Hope, and Courtney Hope, all of Texas.

Also, cherishing her memory are: God-daughters, Calazja Breedlove and Tae'janna Scott. Close friends, Narelle Ezell, Sherea Williams, and Tyhera Madison. Eight grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. A special thanks to Sierra Smith for sharing her blessing with Latisha.

The funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at ByPass Church of Christ in Idabel. Pastor Kevin Haywood will officiate.

Interment will follow at Beaver Dam Cemetery in Beaver Dam, Texas.
