Latasha Lasha Sanford

On January 12, 2019 Latasha Lasha Sanford gained her heavenly wings at Cobb Wellstar Hospital in Astell, GA. Tasha was born on May 2, 1977 to Ray Charles Dedmon and Marilyn L. Williams in Ashdown, Arkansas.

At an early age, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. Tasha affiliated herself and her children with the Oakland Heights Baptist Church in Cartersville, Georgia until she was called home.

Tasha graduated from Idabel High School in 1995. While she attended Idabel Public Schools, she was an active member in Student Council, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Band and a manager for the basketball and track teams. Tasha graduated from OSU in 2001 with Bachelor's degree and in 2003 with her Master's Degree.

Tasha married Marco Sanford on March 22, 2003 and to the union two children; her pride and joys were born, Marco Sanford (14) and Markayla Sanford (11).

Tasha never met a stranger. Her smile always lit up any room that she gracefully entered. Tasha had a passionate love for cooking.  Tasha was a loving mother, sister, niece, and friend who will truly be missed.

Tasha was preceded in death by her Mother: Marilyn Williams, Father: Ray Charles Dedmon, Brother: Kenya Bond, Maternal Grandparents: Wilma J Williams and James D Williams; Paternal Grandparents: Callie V Harris-Dedmon and Edward Hatten

She leaves to cherish her memories: Husband- Marco Sanford, Cartersville, GA; Son- Marco Sanford, Cartersville, GA; Daughter- Markayla Sanford, Cartersville, GA; Sisters- Shamisha (Derrick) Hunt, Idabel, OK; Lanisha Giddens(Nicholas Pace) Texarkana Tx; Lakala Giddens, Dekalb, Tx; Sharmella Andrews, Camp Arifjan Kuwait; Brothers- Kermit Andrews, Idabel, Ok; Antonio (Crystal) Andrews,  Jr. Clute, TX; Eric Andrews, OKC, OK; Nieces- Tajane' Harris; Damaya Hunt; Derica Hunt; La'Tamaria Easter; Nephews- Nicholas Pace; La'Tavius Easter; SPECIAL FRIENDS - Dorothy and Laretha Henderson (Granny) Cartersville, GA ;  Wanda Millsap, Yanci Davis Cartersville, GA, and best friend,  Rochelle Scales

Tasha's Funeral is set for 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 26 ^th at Idabel High School with Pastor Larry Rutherford officiating.

Interment will follow at Williamston Cemetery in Idabel.
