Laresse Bagsby Murphy

Laresse Bagsby Murphy was born on December 29 ^th , 1953 to the late Hopkin and Katherine Bagsby. She departed this life on Monday, January 24 ^th , 2022 surrounded by her family.

Resse grew up in the DeKalb Community where she graduated from Dekalb High School in 1972. In 1972, she married David L, Murphy Sr., and to this union, two children were born, Rhonda and David "Pete" Jr.

Resse accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior many years ago.

Resse was a hardworking and faithful employee at McCurtain Memorial Hospital for 36 Years until her retirement.

Resse showed love and kindness to everyone she met. She was one of the most giving persons you would ever meet. Anyone who truly knew her, knew that purses and Ink pens were her favorite things to buy.

Resse was a great woman, mother wife, sister grandmother, aunt, and friend to all her loved ones and will be truly missed by many.

Waiting on her in glory! Father; Hopkin Bagsby, mother; Katherine Bagsby, 3 sisters; Lena Brown, Willie Mae Gray, and Martha Mosley, 5 brothers; Leroy Bagsby, Jessie Bagsby, Charlie Bagby, George Bagsby, and Otis Bagsby.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Jerry Davis of the home, one daughter; Rhonda Murphy of Idabel, Ok., son David "Pete" Murphy of Idabel, Ok., one sister Gwendolyn Traylor of Dekalb TX., brother L. D. Bagsby (Laura) of Dekalb, Tx., 8 grandchildren, Britany Beasley, T J Broades (Jen), Ta'Dranique Broades,  Quentiyan Reese, Shaquille Booth, Da' Yauna Murphy, Malcolm Williams, and Tiaff, Thomas, 6 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, church members, and friends.

Funeral arrangements are set for 1 pm. Saturday, January 29 ^th , 2022 at Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor AW Gulley officiating, with Rev. Herbert Smith Eulogist.

A private Inurnment will take place on a future date.
