Lapatrick Deon Van

If others wonder why I'm missin'

Just tell 'em I'm gone fishin'.

LaPatrick Deon Van was born on September 20, 1977, to Martha Van and the late Evel Van Sr. in Idabel, Oklahoma. He was Twin B to sister, LaTina (Twin A).  He passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2018, in Idabel.

LaPatrick attended Idabel Public Schools and graduated in 1997 from Idabel High School. He was a member of the varsity Idabel Warriors football and basketball teams. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and did not mind letting everyone know of his relationship with the Lord.

He enjoyed fishing, mudding, and bar-be-queing (at which he thought he was the best) and various other outdoor activities.  LaPatrick was a genuinely caring and loving person who would help anyone in need.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his children. To know Patrick was to love Patrick.

He was preceded in death by Father, Evel Van, Sr; brother, Brady K. Van; stepfather, Edward Harris; maternal grandparents, Roy and Thelma Daniels; paternal grandparents, Otis and Jewel Mae Van; and nephews, Jaquis Jones and Ja'Quavious Van.

LaPatrick leaves to cherish his memory: Wife, Wendy Van; mother, Martha Van; children, ShaKina (Devin), Braydon, Nyesha, Nico, Natorie, Jaylon, and LaPatrick; grandson, Chance; sisters, Selicia, Myrtle, LaTina (his twin) Bambi (Demontra), Rosemary, Vanessa, and Mae; brothers, Jesse and Evel, Jr.

Also remembering him with love are his special friends, Jermel Higgins, Mike Smith, Eric Andrews, QT Burns, and Lee Smith, Sr. And, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
