Lamycal Fields Scott

January 1, 1986 — June 23, 2019

"Trust Ya Process"
Lamycal Fields Scott was born on January 1, 1986 to Charlmane Scott and Michael L. Fields at McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel, Oklahoma. On June 23, 2019, LaMycal transitioned from earth to glory- PROCESS COMPLETED!
Lamycal was a quiet child. He loved playing at his great-grandmother's home in the country with his siblings and cousins. From jumping and playing on hay rolls to building club houses to running and playing basketball; there was always something to do.

At an early age, he developed an interest in sports. He excelled at baseball, basketball, football, as well as track and field. And, just like in his life, he gave it his all - with his brother Glen right by his side every step of the way. Lamycal was an all-star baseball player multiple years, district and regional champion basketball player with the Idabel Warriors, United States track & field Junior Olympics state champ and regional qualifier. He was also a state runner up, regional, conference, and district champion track athlete who had the "will of a giant and the work ethic of a super-human." He graduated from Idabel High School in 2004. At the time of his death, he was employed with Weyerhaeuser, Idabel.

Lamycal was a true example of love and perseverance. He was a kind soul who was very forgiving and loved unconditionally. Taking many attributes from his grandmothers: Annie Scott, Doris Whitaker, and his late great-grandmother, Dorothy Hill; he was a nurturer who was soft spoken, a motivator, and an inspiration to all whom he came in contact with.

He always said, "TrustYaProcess." He saw his process through until completion. After experiencing a life-changing event, he reinvented himself and became the man that he knew God planned for him to be - a loving husband, an awesome father, a phenomenal brother, a caring son, a hard worker, and a positive individual. And, Oh Yeah, Lamycal loved "being the best dressed." He and his cousin, Choppa had an ongoing contest and as long as he out dressed Choppa, his mission was complete.

He accepted Christ as a youth and joined with Macedonia Baptist Church in Idabel and was a member of the youth choir. He later affiliated with ByPass Church of Christ in Idabel.
LaMycal loved his kids, his Nannu, and his Cassandra more than anything in the world and would give his last to ensure their happiness.

Preceding him in death was: Dorothy Scott Hill, great-grandmother, Warrenlene Fields, grandmother; Lavern Hurd and Shirley Hurd, aunts; Nicholas Hurd, cousin; LaSharon Carter, sister; and Walter Hill, great-grandfather; Glen Whitaker, Sr., stepfather; Ruben Lee, stepfather.
