The life of Kenneth Ray Hopkins began September 21, 1955 when Robert Hopkins and Betty Jean Hall were blessed with a Babyboy. He departed this life to be with the lord on September 24, 2020 at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City, Ok.
He accepted Christ at an early age at the Galilee Baptist Church. He graduated from Idabel Gray High School in May 1974. After school, he left for the Army August 14 th , 1974. He did his basics training in Fort Polk, Louisiana. Kenneth was stationed in fort Campbell, Kentucky in 101 st AB Div.
After being in the service he moved to Tulsa, ok., where he met and married Cheryl Bryant, to this union one child was born. He got a job working at the city of Tulsa as a heavy equipment operator. Then he worked for Yaffee Metal and Iron as a laborer which he dearly loved. He also attended Tulsa Junior College where he received an associate degree and obtained an award in Fire Protective Technology.
Then later in life another child was born.
He was preceded in death by his father, sister, and brother.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory his mother; Betty Hopkins of Idabel, Ok., sons Bryant Hopkins and wife of Oklahoma City, OK., Demichael Roseborough and wife of Tulsa, Ok., sister; Leversie Hopkins Johnson of San Diego, Ca., Shelia Hopkins Jiles of Chicago, Il., and Koeta Hopkins Boyd (Tim) of Idabel, OK., a special friend Cynthia Quinney of Oklahoma City, Ok., uncle; Dave Hall, three aunties; Lovie Walker of Killeen Tx., Lillie Trammel and husband of Las Vegas , NV, and Linda Hall of Tulsa, ok., 7 grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
A Graveside service is set for 1 pm at Williamston Cemetery Saturday October 3 rd , with Rev. Martin David Hooks.
Interment will follow.
