Johnny Ray Baker

November 16, 1960 — March 8, 2016

Johnny Ray Baker was born on November 16th, 1960 the third child to Curtis Lee and Erma Pearl Baker, Sr. in Idabel, Oklahoma. He went home to be with the Lord on March 8, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Ok.

Johnny graduated from Idabel Gray High School in 1979 where he excelled in sports. He received a scholarship to play football, and a full ride scholarship for the track team at the University of Oklahoma.

He later moved to Oklahoma City, where he lived two years, then moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and worked for American Promotion Event (TNT Fireworks) where he was a truck driver and a faithful employee for twenty years.

His parents and Sister preceded him in death.

Johnny leaves to cherish his memory, two sons; Shaun and Michael Baker of Oklahoma city, Oklahoma, one brother; Curtis L. Baker, Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, one sister; Jo Ann Baker of Idabel, Oklahoma, nephews; Carlos (Eboni)Ford & Corey (Shardae) Baker of Oklahoma City, OK., Eric (Regina) Caldwell of Houston, Texas, Brandon (Deboni) and Robert Baker of Idabel, Oklahoma, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and a life time of friends.

Funeral services are set for 11 am Saturday March 19, 2016 at the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church in Idabel, OK with Pastor Allen Gulley officiating and Rev. Curtis Baker Jr., Eulogist.

Interment will follow at Williamston Cemetery, Idabel, Ok
