John Earl Nichols Jr

John Earl Nichols Jr, born on September 23, 1959, in Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home in Idabel, Oklahoma on April 15, 2026. He had made Idabel his home since 2021, a place where he found comfort and community in his final years.

John’s journey began in Arkansas, where he completed his high school education and laid the foundations of a life marked by quiet strength and devotion to family. Though detail on his professional life is not noted, those who knew him remember a man whose presence was steady and dependable.

He is survived by two devoted brothers and two loving sisters, who along with two sister-in-laws, were central to his life. His extended family included numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in his heart. John was also cherished by a number of loving cousins and a close circle of dear friends who stood by his side through life’s many seasons.

John's wish was to be cremated. A memorial gathering will be held to honor John’s memory on May 2, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Lukfata Cemetery in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. This will provide an opportunity for all who knew him to come together in remembrance and celebration of a life that touched many.
