Jewel Gray of Idabel Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday November 27, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.
She lived in Idabel all of her life and was very hospitable, and loved to cook. In fact, Jewel worked as a short order cook at a local truck stop here in Idabel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, five brothers and three sisters.
Jewel was baptized January 10, 1981 as one of Jehovah's Witness, and was faithful in her service to Jehovah until her death. One of her favorite scriptures was John 8:32 where Jesus said that "you will know the truth and the truth will set you free". She was relieved to know that the dead would rest in the grave until the resurrection on the last day.
Jewel leaves to cherish her memory nine children; Johnny Gray and Jackie Gray of Amarillo, Texas, Detriece Mosley, (Thomas), and Travis Hearn of Idabel, Climent Gray of Worthington Minnesota, Anthony Gray of Lawton, Oklahoma, Marcus Gray, of Idabel Oklahoma, Minerva Gray of Texarkana Arkansas, Gregory Gray of Idabel, Oklahoma, six sisters and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral services are set for 11 am Saturday December 7, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 210 Lincoln Rd, Idabel Brother Steve Chapman officiating.
Interment will follow at Williamston Cemetery.
