Jeannie Moraga

Jeannie Moraga went to sleep in death at her home in Clarksville, TX on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the age of 73. She was born to Clarence and Maude Washburn on July 5, 1945 in Camden, AR.

She symbolized her dedication to her God Jehovah on May 19, 1961 at the age of 15 and was a faithful servant of his until her death. She was confident in the Bible's promise of a resurrection to life on a paradise earth, and it was this hope that gave her peace and comfort until her death.
Jeannie began sharing her faith with others as a youth and was invited to attend the 43rd Class of the Watchtower Bible School for Gilead Missionaries, from which she graduated in March of 1967. After graduation she was assigned to Santiago, Chile to expand her ministry.

In Chile, she soon met and fell in love with Arturo Moraga, and the couple married in Santiago on December 15, 1969. They bore two sons, Arturo Moraga Jr and Gabriel Moraga. Like all loving mothers, Jeannie had a special fondness for her sons. She was always delighted to hear their voices and excited for their visits. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her much happiness. Jeannie had many enduring friendships throughout the years and will be missed by many. She looked forward to the day she would have perfect health and be able to serve Jehovah fully for all eternity.

She is survived by her husband, Arturo Moraga of Clarksville, TX; two sons, Arturo Moraga Jr of Broken Bow, OK; and Gabriel Moraga and his wife, Gina, of Paris, TX; 4 grandchildren, Andre, Ellyse, Matthew, and Madison, and 6 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Clarksville, TX.

Friends and family will gather afterward for the repast and association at the Red River County Club in Clarksville.
