Janet Roberts

Janet Roberts was born August 8th 1955 to Eva Mae Akins in Texas. She passed away peacefully on April 22nd 2015 at the age of 59 surrounded by her family in Idabel.

She was born in Bowie County, TX and Graduated from DeKalb High School in DeKalb, TX


She enjoyed spending time with her family, loved to dance, play dominoes, meet new friends, watch movies, and going to the Casino.

Janet was preceded in death by her Mother Eva Mae Akins and Grandmother Maggie Akins

She leaves to cherish her memories are her 7 children; Romeika Roberts (DeKalb, TX), Donta Roberts (Odessa, TX), Staneshia Bell (OKC, OK), Montrell Bell (Idabel, OK), Shirell Bell (OKC, OK), Shinika (Alandius) Townsend (Idabel, OK), and Dennilla Bell (Durant, OK), 6 sisters; Eva Nell Roberts (Idabel, OK), Lucille (Roger) Sparkman (Idabel, OK), Elizabeth (John) Dowell (DeKalb, TX), Katherine Bagsby (Idabel, OK), Barbara Bagsby (Idabel, OK), Linda (Greg) Jackson, (Clarksville, TX), 5 brothers; Jackie Akins (Idabel, OK), Charles (Dorothy) Akins (Idabel, OK), Chuck (Tammy) Bagsby (Idabel, OK), Rickey Bagsby (DeKalb, TX), Dennis (Rosalind) Bagsby (DeKalb, TX), and a host of grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Funeral arrangements are set for 11 am Saturday May 2nd at the DeKalb High School, DeKalb,Texas with Rev Kevin Haywood officiating.

Interment will follow at Beaver Dam Cemetery Beaver Dam, TX.
