James Harris

James E. Harris was born April 29, 1950, to H. J. "Red" Harris and Lil King in Hugo, OK. He transitioned from earth to eternity on April 19, 2025, at Choctaw Memorial Hospital in Hugo.

James grew up in Hugo but spent a lot of time in Idabel with his Harris and King family. He was educated in the Hugo Public School system and graduated high school in 1968.

James met and married Mary Harris. He later met and married Kay Harris.  Both wives preceded him in death.

James was always a proud son, brother and dad. He loved his family members with all of his heart.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, his sister Sharon; brothers; H.J. Jr, Jeffrey Lynn and Terry Lynn.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his daughter Angela, son Tyrone; brothers Ken, Marvin, Marlon, and Gary; sisters; Barbara, Patricia, Karen, Cheryl, Debbie, Laura and Lee. He also leaves his aunts Billie and Althea Mae; uncles Joe, Freddie and John Lee; stepmother Mattie, stepsisters and brothers are Jacqueline, Jennie, Carnell, Darnell, Larry, Michael and Phillip and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He also leaves 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
