James Daniel Cantrell II

James Daniel “Danny” Cantrell, II, beloved husband of Rebeccah “Beccah” Cantrell, loving son of James and Doris Cantrell, father of Jacobi Brooklyn and Marek Alexander, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

Danny was born on May 29, 1985, in Mesquite, Texas, where he lived his early years. Eventually, he and his parents moved to various cities within the North Texas area and Danny enjoyed the city life with some country flavor as he grew up. He learned to fish early on and you could often find him and his mom enjoying a quiet afternoon at the local creek or helping his dad in the yard.

Danny was known for his keen sense of humor. He would often have his friends and family rolling in laughter – especially when he was with his brothers. He had a big heart, loved his family fiercely and the best laugh. He really enjoyed working in his yard, working with his hands and during the spring and summer, watching the hummingbirds that flocked to his yard.

Danny is survived by his wife Rebeccah, his children, Jacobi and Marek, his parents, James and Doris Cantrell, his brothers Arnold “Gene” Beck, David (Antonia) Beck and his sister, Cheryl (Jeff) Hufham.

There will be no formal service. A private Inurnment will take place at a later date.
