Mr. Jackie Whitaker was born on September 12, 1955 to Doris Jean Whitaker and Ezerlee King in Valliant, Oklahoma. He departed this life on July 5, 2018 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He received his formal education in Valliant Public Schools in Valliant, OK where he excelled as a student.

Jackie was employed in Los Angeles, California as a security guard for 10 years, and he worked for the city of Idabel as a street sweeper for 6 years. In addition, Jackie also worked at Tyson Foods for 10 years.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed cooking for his family, watching Westerns, and singing with his daughter. Jackie's' favorite two songs to sings were; Hank Williams's "Why do You Drink" and "Crossing the River Jordon to Meet My Lord."

Jackie was preceded in death by his loving father Ezerlee King; brothers, Larry Whitaker, Glen Whitaker, James McAlester, and beloved sister, Sharon Whitaker.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Doris Whitaker; daughter Dana (Ray) Green; siblings, Jo Ann Hooks, Shirley Howell, D.J. Whitaker, Anthony (Evelyn) Whitaker, Vanessa (Cornell) King, Vanassa (Willie) King, and June Whitaker, all of Idabel; Valerie (Tony) McCauley of Oklahoma City, and Alice (Melvin) Fulson of Springdale, Arkansas.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday July 12 th at Westside First Baptist Church with Pastor Roy Yates serving as Eulogist and Officiant.
