Irene Threadgill Adams

Mrs. Irene (Threadgill) Adams was born in Foreman, Arkansas February 03, 1949 to the Late Mr. Monroe and Mrs. Luvenia (Edd) Threadgill. Also she was the granddaughter of the Late Rev. T. T. Threadgill and Rev. Mitch and Sarah (Dismuck) Edd of Tom, OK.

Irene was a faithful member of the Community Missionary Baptist Church until her illness. She attended school at Pine Ridge Elementary in Tom, OK., and Riverside school in Harris, OK.

She met and married Horace Adams Jr. on August 10, 1971 and to this union two children were born.

Irene was preceded in death by one son, three brothers and two sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Horace of the home; one son Steven Dewayne Adams of Idabel; she raised one niece Samantha Austin, one great nephew J'quarius, and one great niece Zkira Austin all of Idabel; one very special friend Glenda Parks of Idabel; four brothers Woodrow Threadgill of DeKalb, TX., Billy (olga), Vale (Jean), Jerry D. (Lisa) all of Tom; six sisters; Georgia Hobby Rockwall TX., Mary Stafford (Emmitt) of Eagletown, OK., and Wanda Daniels of OKC, Daisy Stafford (Tommie), Sarah Fleming, Luvenia Fleming (Kenneth) all of Tom, OK., two aunts; one first cousin, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral arrangements are set for 10 am Saturday January 23, 2016 at Community Missionary Baptist Church at Tom, OK, with Rev. Roy Barlow officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Luke Cemetery, Tom, Ok.
