Another angel has gone home; Henry Daniels age 86 was called home Saturday night March 19th at the Hopkins County Memorial Hospital Sulphur Springs Texas. He was born October 30th 1924 to Jesse and Virginia Daniels in Foreman Arkansas.
Henry attended school in Muskogee and later joined the Army where he proudly served four years and received an honorable discharge. He fought bravely in World War II and was awarded two Purple Hearts and a WW II Victory Medal.
Henry later met and married the lovely Ida Burris and they raised one step daughter Beatrice.
He joined Plainview Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and Henry served as Deacon at the Church for many years. Henry loved God and was a faithful devoted Church member until his health failed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one step daughter; his sisters Ola Rolfe, Janie Young, Hattie Glover, Jessie Turner, Era Mae Daniels, Vinnie Lee Myrks, and Annie Borders; three Brothers, Otis, Tossie, and Roy Daniels.
He leaves to cherish his memory two Brothers Hervie Daniels of Idabel, Carnel and wife Marion Daniels of San Bernardino Ca, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends
Funeral services are set for 11 AM Thursday at Plainview Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor John H Scott officiating.
Interment will follow at Williamston Cemetery.
