Frances Murl Joshua was born in Idabel, Oklahoma on January 27, 1945, to Willie B. Spagner and Mary Mathenia. She was the second youngest of four girls where she grew up and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School.
Frances worked as a home health nurse for many years. She loved working with children and was well known by many in Idabel often being referred to as "Ms. Frances or Mama."
Some of her favorite pass times was going to bingo and the casino. She liked playing dominoes (but not losing) so, the trick was to let her win so you can get up from the table a lesson her oldest son learned the hard way! She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and watching westerns.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents: Willie B. Spagner and Mary Mathenia, grandmother: Arella "Big Mama" Hood, sister: Floretta Papin, son: Gary L. Cherry "Baby G ".
Frances leaves to cherish her memory sons: Dwayne and wife Asia Brock, Kevin Joshua, Cornelius, and wife LaQueta Joshua, special son Randel Cherry all of Wichita, KS, sisters: Zoria French of Hanford, CA, and Juanita Mathenia of Idabel, OK, 33 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, a host of nephews, nieces, extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
