Ernestine Courson

Mrs. Ernestine Courson, age 94 was born December 29, 1926, to Robinson and Iva McKinney in Hardin Texas. She passed away at her home in Idabel on May 27, 2021, surrounded by her family.

She lived most of her life in East Texas, moving to Oklahoma in 2015. Ernestine was a Med-tech and a Welder when she was younger. She attended school in Texas and in Oklahoma. Ernestine enjoyed studying and learning about her hope of being in Paradise and spending as much time as possible with her family.

Ernestine was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Courson, her parents, three brothers, and four sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory two sons: Robert Goodson and wife, Paula, of Gladewater, TX., and William Allen and wife, Mary, of Claremore, OK., one sister Hannah McKinney Blackowl of Idabel, 3 grandchildren, Eva Mitchell and husband Patrick of Moore, Oklahoma, Melanie Garrett of Moore, Oklahoma and Darrell Minnich of Shreveport, Louisiana. She also leaves behind great-grandaughter Haleigh Mitchell of Moore, Oklahoma and great-grandchildren Christopher and Makayla Wise of Moore, Oklahoma and many more

A memorial service and Inurnment will take place later.
