Elsie Faye Lawrence 73 of Idabel, Ok went home to be with our father June 29th, 2011 in DeQueen Arkansas Regional Medical Center. She was born July 20, 1937 to Hattie Burris and Earlis Allen in Tom, OK.
Elsie worked at McCurtain Memorial Hospital for many years as well as Oxford Home Health, making many friends along the way. She was a very loving and caring woman always willing to help. Elsie was known for her soft spoken voice and beautiful smile. She enjoyed dancing, spending time with family, and working around the house.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and one grandson.
Elsie leaves to cherish her memories three daughters Ruby Green (Lonnie) of Harris, Janet Kennybrew Hugo, and Katie Duckett (Marcus) of Garvin; two sons Phillip Carter Dallas, TX. and Anthony Carter Tatum's, OK, her estranged husband Herman Lawrence, Harris, OK, eighteen grand children, 35 great grand children, one great great Grand daughter, and a host of relatives and friends.
She was a gift from God. Elsie was truly loved, and will be greatly missed.
A Grave Side Funeral Service is set for 11 AM July 7, 2011, at Della Simpson Cemetery, Tom, Oklahoma.
